My Daily Skin Care Products/ Routine

Hello loves!
I'm not super fancy when it comes to how I take care of my face in fact I'm pretty simple, less is more! In my opinion I feel as though once you start using anti-aging face products you have to continuously use them because you'll definitely notice once you stop so I try to avoid them but that's just me. I'm lazy when it comes to certain things so I prefer to spend less time doing them lol also I suck at keeping routines up I always forget that's why I keep things pretty simple when it comes to skin care and honestly it shouldn't be that complicated.

First and foremost DRINK WATER!
I cant stress that enough, but you all knew that!
Then find products that work for your skin and keep it simple.
Here are some of my favorites (:
xoxo

1) Simple Cleansing Micellar Water $6: Ive recently started using it and I'm in love! It takes my makeup with ease, there's no scent, my skin feels hydrated after, and its not drying at all!

How I Use It
- In to mornings to cleanse my face or if I am too lazy to wash my face before bed.

2) Coconut Oil $6 (at Walmart other places are a bit more): try to get unrefined its better for the skin but this works just fine, Ive noticed a change in my skin since using it as a oil wash once or twice a week depending on how my skin feels, I also use it with lotion all over my body.

How I Use It:
- As an oil cleanser (once a week)
- As a sealant after I put moisturizer on
- on my lips
- Mixed in with foundation, I know what you're thinking but it changed my life!
(Also on my hair)

3) CeraVe $15 (they have smaller sizes): Its very thick in consistency but light weight as well the downside it does not have SPF (they do have SPF in other moisturizers they sell) there's no scent, good for normal to dry skin. You can get CeraVe for pretty much any skin type which is why i love it.

How I Use It:
I use this with the product below because of its thickness so I really don't need much maybe a dime size amount or less for my entire face.

4) Mario Badescu Facial Spray $7: This is comparable to MAC's Fix+ but better IMO because it contains rose water, aloe and herbs however if you don't like the smell of roses obviously you may not want to buy this. My skin ahas been a bit more even since I've started using this almost a year ago. You can find it at Ulta in this size or travel size you can only purchase the larger bottle on Mario Badescu's site for $14.

How I Use It:
- To prime my skin before I apply my moisturizer
- To refresh throughout the day

Makeup related
- blending out concealer
-applying highlighter
-on my brushes to make the shadows more pigmented

TARTLETTE REVIEW

Hello Beauties!

Here are some swatches of the Tartelette palette as promised!
This is what they look look like on a deeper skin tone for those who may have been wondering what they might look like on them, keep in mind that the shades will vary on your face compared to my arm.
(None of these have been swatched with a primer nor have the photos been edited)

If you'd like to see an in-depth review please check this video out (:

My favorites are: Free Spirit (super pigmented, use a light hand),Natural Beauty & Best Friend.
From Left to Right: Free Spirit, Force of Nature, Dreamer & Multi-tasker

Caregiver,Natural Beauty,Best Friend & Bombshell

Super Mom,Wanderer,Power Player & Fashionista

Like I say in my video I L-O-V-E this palette, mostly because it's very practical for daily use and they're all matte shadows, as you can see some shades are pretty chalky and go on a bit patchy but that's not hard to fix you make need to pack on two layers depending on your base.
Yes some are very chalky and ashy looking on my skin and when I apply them to my eyes as well (mostly the mid tone shades like Wanderer, Force of Nature and Power Player) but that doesn't make me love this product any less!
Definitely check it out for yourselves and see how you like it.

DUPE ALERT FOR: Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipstick

Hello Loves!!!!

Ive been unemployed for a while now so I've been looking for more affordable products to use in place of my favorite high end or more pricey items in my collection (aside from job hunting and college) so I'm back with another dupe hope you enjoy!!!! xoxoxo

As you may (or may not) know Rimmel just came out with A new version of their Show Off/Apocalips liquid lipsticks that are now matte!!! Well I picked one up in the shade "Meteoric" and realized this is great dupe for Too Faced "Melted Berry" but for A fraction of the price at roughly $6. (in my area)

Too Faced Melted: Melted Berry
$21

Excuse my face as I have no makeup on *YIKES*
w/flash

Pros: Very Smooth and easy to apply
Sweet-ish smell like Sweet Tarts candy
Very thick and pigmented
opaque
creamy
semi long lasting
comfortable on the lips
cute packaging
will last through meals/drinking

Cons: can get drying if you don't properly moisturize
some transfer does happen.
Non matte formula

You get 0.40 oz in each tube which will last for a long time in my opinion especially if you're an lipstick junky like myself. Overall I love it although I don't wear this shade as much as I'd like to. Would I re-purchase? Yes and I have.
Rating: 9.5/10 because of transfer.

Rimmel "Show Off Velvet Mattes":Meteoric
$6

w/flash

Pros: Smooth, easy application
doe foot applicator
non-drying
velvety smooth
glides on evenly
pigmented
cute packaging
affordable
dries matte as it claims
there's no real scent

Cons: Not long wearing
does not last through eating or drinking
a bit of transfer
only comes in 5 shades at the moment
you will need at least two layers to get the opacity

The applicator was kind of hard to get out of my tube I'm not sure if the others will be the same way? All the shades aren't anything special nothing super unique hopefully they'll come out with more soon however they had a bright Orange shade which is rare to come by in the drugstore.

Here some pictures with both Melted Berry and Meteoric on my lips side by side and a hand swatch.
I will say that Meteoric is a bit darker than Melted Berry, but the textures of both are very similar when you apply them.

Lipstick of The Month......Prague!

So I think I'll start a series here on my blog called "Random Raves" because I never have enough things to show monthly and I'll never remember to save certain things to show at a later date so whenever I have a random favorite I will post it here. Id do vids but I can't currently edit any videos on my laptop.

Let's start with my very first "Random Favorite" ^_^

This product is not new but more of an rediscovered favorite lol I love them quite a bit and I recently went on a hunt for a nice pinky berry shade for my lippy collection when I found Prague soft matte lip cream by NYX although I wanted more of a satin finish this is fine with me for the moment simply because I can't stop wearing it.

           (Left no flash/ right w/flash)
I bought mine at Ulta for around $5 from past experience using this product I know it's still super drying on the lips and somewhat patchy.

                 In bad lighting.....

                       Natural lighting

With the flash on, it looks more purple than it actually is in person.

MAC 'Give Me Sun' dupe

So I would normally reach for 'Give Me Sun' on a daily bases to contour or bronze me up a bit for a natural look and being that it's somewhat expensive I was looking through my collection for something similar to use every now and when I came across NYC 'Sunny' bronzer. I noticed they were pretty much the same. Give Me Sun is slightly darker than my skin tone (I consider myself medium/tan I know in the beauty world I'm "dark" so if that helps use that as a guideline I guess) Sunny doesn't show up as much as Give Me Sun does, I'd say it's a more natural bronze or healthy glow for my skin tone.

(Top no flash/bottom w/flash)

(Top natural light/ bottom flash)

Give Me Sun is a bit darker, more pigmented, silky, matte finish, slightly orangy. Good for medium skin tones (if you're fair use a light hand)  It will cost you about $30 and you'll get 0.35oz

Sunny is slightly more orange toned, it's not so pigmented but build-able, somewhat gritty/chalky, matte, very natural. This is definitely great on fair to medium skin tones.  $5 at my local Target, 0.33oz.
You're getting about as much product as the MAC bronzer for a fraction of the cost which is perfect if you're not looking to splurge.

I'm partial to Give Me Sun I will be honest with you lol however I use Sunny as an eyeshadow a lot and to contour my nose on occasion.
