My Daily Skin Care Products/ Routine

Hello loves!
I'm not super fancy when it comes to how I take care of my face in fact I'm pretty simple, less is more! In my opinion I feel as though once you start using anti-aging face products you have to continuously use them because you'll definitely notice once you stop so I try to avoid them but that's just me. I'm lazy when it comes to certain things so I prefer to spend less time doing them lol also I suck at keeping routines up I always forget that's why I keep things pretty simple when it comes to skin care and honestly it shouldn't be that complicated.

First and foremost DRINK WATER!
I cant stress that enough, but you all knew that!
Then find products that work for your skin and keep it simple.
Here are some of my favorites (:
xoxo

1) Simple Cleansing Micellar Water $6: Ive recently started using it and I'm in love! It takes my makeup with ease, there's no scent, my skin feels hydrated after, and its not drying at all!

How I Use It
- In to mornings to cleanse my face or if I am too lazy to wash my face before bed.

2) Coconut Oil $6 (at Walmart other places are a bit more): try to get unrefined its better for the skin but this works just fine, Ive noticed a change in my skin since using it as a oil wash once or twice a week depending on how my skin feels, I also use it with lotion all over my body.

How I Use It:
- As an oil cleanser (once a week)
- As a sealant after I put moisturizer on
- on my lips
- Mixed in with foundation, I know what you're thinking but it changed my life!
(Also on my hair)

3) CeraVe $15 (they have smaller sizes): Its very thick in consistency but light weight as well the downside it does not have SPF (they do have SPF in other moisturizers they sell) there's no scent, good for normal to dry skin. You can get CeraVe for pretty much any skin type which is why i love it.

How I Use It:
I use this with the product below because of its thickness so I really don't need much maybe a dime size amount or less for my entire face.

4) Mario Badescu Facial Spray $7: This is comparable to MAC's Fix+ but better IMO because it contains rose water, aloe and herbs however if you don't like the smell of roses obviously you may not want to buy this. My skin ahas been a bit more even since I've started using this almost a year ago. You can find it at Ulta in this size or travel size you can only purchase the larger bottle on Mario Badescu's site for $14.

How I Use It:
- To prime my skin before I apply my moisturizer
- To refresh throughout the day

Makeup related
- blending out concealer
-applying highlighter
-on my brushes to make the shadows more pigmented

GLOSSYBOX (April) Review

Hello Loves!

I'm not sure where to start with this months box? Ive had a love/hate relationship with GB for some months now *sigh* do to the fact they haven't been as on point as they usually are. Ive honestly been thinking about canceling my subscription, the only reason I haven't is because as soon as I do BAM some super awesome item will happen in that box! I don't want to give up just yet maybe ill push on til July. I will say Iwasn't so disappointed in this months box, I suppose it made up for the last one which was awful! I can honestly say I haven't liked a box since.......*clock ticks in the background* who knows when?
The thing is why ask your customers to fill out a beauty profile then completely ignore it? I know the idea of the box is to try new things, that's fine but If i say I don't like floral perfumes, I don't have color treated hair, I want more makeup in my box shouldn't i get that? Even when they ask "what colors do you prefer?" I choose darker shades and end up with some shades i cant wear because they're meant for much lighter skin or some irrelevant ass color nobody would actually wear. I don't know maybe I'm being picky but I pay money for a service that I feel isn't being met, not even after evaluations.
*sigh*
I like the service for the most part I just wish they would take that in to consideration.

(IM NOT PAID TO WRITE THIS I BOUGHT MY OWN SUBSCRIPTION)

ANYWAY...........
 How cute is the box!!!?
I wish they would do something like this more often not just for one-off boxes or collabs, maybe not this "fancy" but a pattern would be nice not just the boring pink. (I know its their signature color)

1) MARRAKESH ENDZ-Split end mender $5.99-17.99
I haven't tried it yet, I'm not big into hair products yet they keep giving them to me however if you are you can check them out HERE
2)AERIN Waterlily Sun fragrance $110 (Full Size)
I'm not big on floral scents and getting perfume in my box so I gave it away to my sister who is absolutely in love with it.
Get yours HERE
3) OCC Stained Glass $18 (full size) in Jealous
I didn't like the color (on me), very light weight, thin, comfortable, stained nicely.
You can find OCC at Sephora and OOC's website.
4)ESTEE LAUDER Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum $62 (full size)
I'm excited to try this out, I will update you on how I like it.
Get yours HERE
If you order on their website use this code GLOSSY0515 for %15 off until 6/15/15
5)JULEP Gel Eye Glider $16 (full size)
I received shade Smoky Plum which is a really nice deep purple. (obviously lol) Its very creamy and pretty long lasting.
Get yours HERE
This months box also came with a small makeup bag from ThursdayFriday collab with Glossy box and inside was an awesome discount card inside.

Overall I didn't hate this months box as much as previous boxes, I think what made me the most excited was the art itself to be honest. I really like the detail.
My favorite items are the makeup bag, I'll be getting some use out of that on trips, OCC Stained Gloss it was very comfortable on the lips most importantly it wasn't sticky!

7/10

Thanks for reading

M I C R O_Brow

So NYX came out with a bunch of new products recently and I believe this Micro Brow product is one of them? I'm not 100% sure but I'm 95% sure its pretty new because Ive seen and tried their other brow pencils and hated them all UNTIL...........NOW!
If you've been following me on Youtube or Instagram for a while you'd know Ive been using Maybelline's DEFINE-A-Brow for years and loving it to death! Now I don't like to spend much on brow pencils because I go through them quite fast however I am open to splurging on something like ABH brow pomade thingy not just yet however lol so I saw this Micro brow pencil and prayed it could replace my current love (define a brow) because its sooooo hard to find in my shade (medium brown) at the store.
I'm so happy to say Ive replaced my Maybelline brow pencil for NYX MICRO Brow which you can purchase at Ulta for $10

This is definitely comaparable to ABH Brow Wiz however....this point is thinner.

My shade is Ash Brown which looks a lot lighter on the brow than it does when its swatched but I like pretty light brows compared to my darker hair. There are 9 shades in total so it's easy to find something to match everyone which is always nice.

Micro is the perfect word to describe the tip of the pencil! Its perfect! I found that it gave my brows a much more natural look so if you're a person that likes a more natural brow this is for you also if you have thicker/fuller brows this is perfect to fill in some little patches or add a bit more structure without making them look over done.
The only thing it claims to do is be smudge proof, its not but it also lasts for a long time! It also comes with a spooly on the opposite end.

I love this, I have zero complaints about it! It works perfectly for me its not too creamy or too dry but it has an slight tackiness to it and I find that helpful. The texture is more on the dryer end that's something I look for in brow pencils because lets face it nobody wants greasy looking eyebrows halfway through the day.
Also It looks nice alone....very natural.

EXAMPLE 1
Im wearing just the pencil on my brows for an everyday look.

EXAMPLE 2

Here Im using it as base for other shadows for A more intense brow look.

Pros:
affordable
long lasting
natural looking
large shade range

Cons:
 N/A

I give this a 10/10 (:

MARIO BADESCU: Facial Spray

This facial spray isn't new to me in terms of I've heard of it before but I always forgot to buy it while I'd be shopping around for other things in Ulta, Its a shame really because I fell in love with it and its now a part of my daily routine. The downside to this is Ulta (at least mine doesn't) doesn't carry the 12 oz which sucks because you'd be paying a bit more for two 4oz bottles you can only purchase the 12 oz on Mario Badescu's site (link below) and possibly amazon.

4 oz. retails for $7.00
$8 oz. retails for $12.00
Both prices are very reasonable in my opinion, I'd call this a steal for the wonders its done for my skin over the last month.

Contains: Rosewater, "Herbs" and Aloe

You can purchase it here or here

Hydrating
Refreshing
Leaves makeup glowy and natural
Can be used as a refresher much like Mac's Fix+
Smells like Roses more than Aloe which isn't a problem unless you hate the smell of flowers (the smell doesn't linger)
Safe for all skin types
Gentle
Sprays evenly
Travels well
Non irritating

I like to use mine right after I wash my face just before I moisturize which helps especially when I'm wearing a matte foundation then I'll spray after I powder and set my face makeup and if I feel like it sometimes after I use my setting spray (i know a bit overboard lol)
I also found that it helped reduced the redness in my face do to an allergic reaction I was having to something and this helped clear my skin up in about a week, and the itchiness was soothed as well. I will say that my skin feels more youthful, supple and a bit radiant since I started using it....i do drink a lot more water than I have been so that's also be helping. This isn't a ground breaking formula at all you can make this at home if you'd like but if you're like me (too lazy to make it lol) then by all means buy it, its great! Its not ALL NATURAL nor does it claim to be.
Would I re-purchase? Yes!!! I love it, it changed my day time routine for the better.

Rating 10/10

Olay Fresh Effects......

I've been using this range from Olay since they launched it and I absolutely love it!!! It's perfect for the warmer months here in Wisconsin. It's fresh, clean, lightweight, and affordable. You can find these products and more at any drugstore.

I literally use these products daily when the weather is nice. I have sensitive skin nothing has broken me out ever.

I only use these 3 products at the moment but they have plenty more to choose from. I will say the only product of theirs I will not be trying is the BB Cream only because it does not come in many shades just light and light/medium unfortunately, it sucks because I've heard good things about it. They have a few face washes/scrubs as well.

Dew Over
$12 1.7 oz.

Is a gel formula, not greasy, smooth, lightweight, smells really good as well like honeysuckle and white tea this moisturizer does not contain SPF which may be a downside for most people however I'm ok with that. I like to use this under more matte foundations to give a more skin like appearance. I also like it under MAC face and body.

Long Live Moisture!
$10 1.7oz

This is by far my most favorite moisturizer on the planet aside from my Vichy Aqualia Thermal but that is another story for another post.  If you haven't noticed I love gel moisturizers more than cream ha! However this one is slightly different than most you'd find in the drugstore because it's it's a gel and cream mix with a pearlescent finish, super silky, and extremely hydrating which leaves your skin glowing with or without foundation. It also acts as a primer for me so I can skip a step and that makes things easier for me although it's insignificant. SPF isn't in this either but like I said before that isn't a problem for me. I love to use this with tinted moisturizers or bb creams because its non oily and doesn't weigh me now. There's no real scent.

Everything Off
$5 for 25 wipes.

Lightly scented, not greasy but leaves a tad bit of a residue after use but that is typical of any wipe I've ever use to be honest. They do get everything of like they say with no burning to the eyes. I haven't broken out from these at all.

MAC 'Give Me Sun' dupe

So I would normally reach for 'Give Me Sun' on a daily bases to contour or bronze me up a bit for a natural look and being that it's somewhat expensive I was looking through my collection for something similar to use every now and when I came across NYC 'Sunny' bronzer. I noticed they were pretty much the same. Give Me Sun is slightly darker than my skin tone (I consider myself medium/tan I know in the beauty world I'm "dark" so if that helps use that as a guideline I guess) Sunny doesn't show up as much as Give Me Sun does, I'd say it's a more natural bronze or healthy glow for my skin tone.

(Top no flash/bottom w/flash)

(Top natural light/ bottom flash)

Give Me Sun is a bit darker, more pigmented, silky, matte finish, slightly orangy. Good for medium skin tones (if you're fair use a light hand)  It will cost you about $30 and you'll get 0.35oz

Sunny is slightly more orange toned, it's not so pigmented but build-able, somewhat gritty/chalky, matte, very natural. This is definitely great on fair to medium skin tones.  $5 at my local Target, 0.33oz.
You're getting about as much product as the MAC bronzer for a fraction of the cost which is perfect if you're not looking to splurge.

I'm partial to Give Me Sun I will be honest with you lol however I use Sunny as an eyeshadow a lot and to contour my nose on occasion.
